As part of my semester module: Interface Design, I was tasked with visually and conceptually analyzing an existing website’s structure and developing a new design system and overall UI proposal. The objective was to draw inspiration from the original design language while reinterpreting and reinventing it. The goal was to propose a contemporary and innovative graphic system and hierarchy that offers a fresh, forward-thinking perspective
The original website for Bisses du Valais museum is content-heavy, but its outdated information architecture makes navigation difficult. Key information is hard to find, and the lack of cohesive branding and consistent design weakens the overall experience, highlighting a clear opportunity for strategic design intervention to improve structure and clarity.
The redesign of the Bisse du Valais Museum website is guided by a philosophy of clarity, Simplicity, and purpose. The interface is built on a minimalistic foundation, allowing the museum’s story, imagery, and heritage to remain the focal point. By reducing visual noise and avoiding unnecessary decorative elements, the design encourages visitors to explore content effortlessly and intuitively.
